Principal's Welcome
A warm welcome to Griffin Primary School!
At Griffin, we are proud to offer children an exceptional environment in which to learn and grow, right in the heart of Battersea. Our amazing forest school, exciting curriculum and nurturing, dedicated team create a setting where children feel safe, supported and excited about coming to school each day. Every child is known, valued and encouraged to be the very best version of themselves.

Our school community is wonderfully diverse, and we see this as a real strength. We have high expectations for behaviour, learning and attendance, alongside strong pastoral care and positive relationships. We want our children to enjoy school, to be curious about the world around them and to develop confidence, resilience and independence.
Our curriculum is broad, engaging and carefully planned so that children build strong foundations in reading, writing and maths, alongside rich experiences across the wider curriculum. We aim to prepare our pupils not only for the next stage of their education, but also for life beyond primary school.

2026 is an exciting year for Griffin. We are updating our school site to further enhance our learning environment, and we continue to strengthen a number of valued partnerships that enrich school life. These include our work with HandsOn London, Unlocking Potential, Wandle Maths Hub, Wandle English Hub, Wandsworth London Borough of Culture and the Berry Street Education Model.
These partnerships support our staff, strengthen teaching and learning, and help us provide the very best opportunities for our children.
We also believe that strong partnerships with parents and carers are essential. We value open communication and work closely with families to support children both academically and emotionally. Our staff team are deeply committed to nurturing every child and helping them flourish.
Whether you are considering Griffin for your child or are already part of our school community, we hope you will feel the warmth, ambition and sense of belonging that make Griffin such a special place.
I warmly invite you to visit our school and see Griffin in action.
Mr Jack Taylor
