Outreach Services

THRIVE Together is a team of workers who can help families who are finding some parts of family life difficult. If you have worries at all, for example, with parenting, housing, finances or anything at all, Thrive can support you or put you in touch with someone else who can help. We will have an update soon on how the Thrive team will be working with us to support families at Griffin.

We also have a variety of exciting things happening in the Hub (school house) run by Young Mums Support Network (YMSN) including Sewing for beginners, ESOL, classes, Gardening Club, Ladies Lunch and Pilates with Tracie. Come along to have fun, meet people and learn new skills!

Last but not least, we have Friday Coffee Mornings every fortnight in the small hall from 9.15 am -10.15 am. This is your chance to come and unwind once you have dropped your children off to school, have some coffee, biscuits, or general chitchat with me and other parents/ carers. Come and see us to begin your day with a positive start!

Kids’ City at Griffin!

Kids’ City is now operating from Griffin Primary School from 3.30-6.00pm every day, providing after school childcare for those families who need it. Sessions are £12.50 per evening which includes activities and a light meal. To register your child or find out more information please visit their website http://www.kidscity.org.uk/

All prospective students are welcome to attend a free taster day, usually on a Friday afternoon. Please register your child, completing all information and then call the bookings team on 0208 678 5959/68 to book your child’s session. You will have an opportunity to meet the Centre Manager, Symone Williams, and ask any questions you might have. A registration is required due to Ofsted, but there is no commitment to a paid session.

They are an OFSTED ‘Good’ provider. You can read the May ‘19 inspection report here: https://reports.ofsted.gov.uk/provider/16/EY541124.

If you’d like to be a part of any of these, or just need some more information,  please come and see Ms Madiha Mohammad, Outreach Services Manager, or email mmohammad@griffinprimary.org. Please contact Ms Mohammad if you need any support with family life and she can support you or put you in touch with other services who can provide further support.
